പളം

ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോയ   കൊഞ്ചിനെ  പോലെ  ആയിരുന്നു  അയാള്‍ - അത്ര  തന്നെ  വളഞ്ഞതും  അതിലും  ഏറെ  നേര്‍ത്തതും. വാര്‍ദ്ധക്യത്തിന്റെ വരവറിയിച്ച് നരയുടെ  തുടിപ്പുകള്‍  അയാളുടെ മുഖത്ത്  അവിടിവടെയായി  തല  പൊക്കി  നിന്നു. തടിച്ച  ഒരു  ഉണക്കകൊമ്പ്  കയ്യില്‍  – അതായിരുന്നു  ബലം. നിരതെറ്റി  കുടുക്കിട്ട  ചെളിപുരണ്ട  ഷര്‍ട്ടും  മടക്കികുത്തിയ  ലുങ്കിയും  വേഷം. അതത്രയും മുഷിഞ്ഞു  നാറിയിരുന്നു, പക്ഷെ  എവിടെയും  കീറിയിരുന്നില്ല. പളം - അതായിരുന്നു  പേര്. ആരോ  പതിച്ചു  കൊടുത്ത  വിളിപ്പേര്. അതിന്റെ ഉത്ഭവവും  ഐതിഹ്യവും  അറിയില്ല. വികാരമറിയാത്ത മുഖവും സ്വരങ്ങള്‍ മറന്ന നാവും. കുഷ്ഠമില്ലാതിരുന്നിട്ടും അയാള്‍ കുഷ്ടരോഗിയെ ഓര്‍മപ്പെടുത്തി.

Ever since I saw Hush, Ever since I met him for the Hush signing event, I am his HUGE Fan :) The more I adore his work, the more and much more I adore his simplicity and humbleness. How soon he turned out to be my good friend and and gave life to this story of mine - NOW SHOWING, NOWHERE TO GO!
